The Function Barcodes are used by the Inventory Software requisition screen to change the mode of the screen.
In the Requisition Stock mode the user will be promped to scan the user name barcode then the account number
then the Inventory Item barcode and finally the quantity followed by the enter key.
The Software will decrement Inventory quantity and log the transaction into the requisition database.
In the Update Inventory mode the software will prompt for the stock number then the quantity and then replace the
stock quantity with the number entered and log the transaction into the adjustment database.
In the Check on order mode the software will prompt for the Item Barcode then display the purchase status of that item.
When the mode is changed to Place on Order the software will prompt for the user name then the Item Number and then the quantity.
Once the quantity is entered the system will log the information into the database for review from the purchasing personnel.
